[ He's not in his room. He's not, in fact, in Kyoto, electing to clear his head away from as many Outsiders as he can. The night air in Tokyo is far clearer than it was a week ago, and that's far clearer than it was the week before, and from up high on long embattled architecture he has a clear view of the damages throughout the city.

No doubt some such similar attack by a former kaiju is what more than halved the crumpled tower he now sits atop, one marked only by a single placard at its base and few other distinguishing markers: Tokyo Skytree.

The buzz of an incoming call disturbs his vision, eyes narrowing as he debates refusing it. He doesn't. ]

It's the result of a fouled mood, and that is credited to monsters far away from here and more insidious than the ones who caused the destruction before him.
